Assembly Rooms Bath

hotel hotel hotel hotel

The Assembly Rooms, on their completion in 1771, were described as the 'most noble and elegant of any in the Kingdom'. The original Whitefriars crystal chandeliers are still a sparkling highlight of the building along with splendid portraits by Gainsborough, Hoare and Ramsey. Today the Assembly Rooms, located in the city centre, serve as Bath's premier conference venue, providing a prestigious setting for up to 500 delegates with additional space for catering and exhibitors. These stunning period rooms also make an ideal choice for a formal banquet or a larger reception.
Catering at the Assembly Rooms is the sole responsibility of our contracted caterers and whatever the size or style of your event they will serve you with flair and individuality using the finest ingredients. Audio-visual facilities are available and all rooms have black-out. Our experienced and dedicated team will help you ensure that your event exceeds expectations.

The BallroThe Ballroom 100 ft long - the largest Georgian interior in Bath - and boasts five original crystal chandeliers. The Ball Room is the preferred venue for people requiring a plenary session of up to 500 people. Alternatively, a modest trade exhibition can be held here if a conference for up to 250 people is held in the Tea Room. Alongside the Ball Room there is a small room suitable as a VIP room, office or green room.

The Tea Room is a delightful pillared room is one of the most popular venues. On a sunny day it is bathed in light from its south-facing windows and by day or night, its row of three Georgian chandeliers sparkle from every facet. This warmth creates an inviting venue for a dinner or dinner dance for a hundred or more guests. It is also well suited to a conference for up to 250 people and is licensed for civil weddings

The Octagon is a perfect octagon! It is unique in its shape and symmetry, this yellow room has four elegant mantelpieces - which hirers often choose to adorn with flowers - and four doors connecting with all the other rooms. It is not hard to see why it has become the most popular venue in Bath for a civil wedding.

Beyond the Great Octagon lies the Card Room, a long thin room added to the Assembly Rooms in 1777 to give card players a more private venue in which to meet. It now makes a very convenient bar and can be used for serving refreshments or lunches.

ThThe Museum of Costume is a stimulating venueor a pre-dinner drinks reception of up to 100 people, the Museum of Costume allows visitors to reflect on bygone eras in fascinating surroundings.
