Thornbury Castle Hotel is a magnificent 500-year-old Tudor castle-palace set in historic gardens and parkland, Thornbury Castle promises memories - memories of its royal past and also memories of the future, of the truly special time you will have when you experience the history of this remarkable hotel. Enjoy a regal night's sleep in the Duke's bedchamber where King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept or favour the Gloucester bedchamber and wake up to a view of the oldest Tudor gardens in England - the Privy Garden and Goodly Garden. There are 26 bedchambers and all are fabulously atmospheric, most with four-poster or coronet beds, stone walls, tapestries, roaring fires, ornate carved ceilings and views to historic parkland and the River Severn beyond. The Tudor bedchamber even has arrow-slit windows.

There can be few more inspiring settings for a business meeting than the rooms and grounds where one of England's most notorious kings once walked. The Tower, situated on the ground floor in the Octagonal Tower, with its original arrow loop windows and splendid fireplace, is unique. No other room can provide such a distinctive business venue - anywhere. The Baron's Sitting Room, situated on the upper level, is a fine rectangular wood-panelled room with windows at either end and a large, open, imposing fireplace. The Tudor Hall is a magnificent, stone-walled room with a huge open fireplace, a 5.5m long solid oak refectory table, suits of armour and walls adorned with medieval weaponry, paintings and tapestry. If ever there was a room to plan a campaign, inspire the troops or celebrate victory in business, then this is it. The room can be lit by candelabra, although there's plenty of natural daylight through the multi-paned, 3-1/2m high window. A door to the rear opens onto a patio.
